Our Guiding Initiatives
Six initiatives, one mission
Our mission is to be the world's leading entity in the preservation of, and access to, the historical treasures of the collective world. These initiatives, adopted by our Board of Directors, are how we get there.
Initiative 01
Building world-class museums
We are establishing a network of museums that serve as cultural and educational hubs, beginning with a flagship location in Fort Pierce, Florida.
That work means securing partnerships with local governments to drive tourism and community support, developing immersive exhibits centered on shipwrecks and historical artifact recovery, curating collections that align with the museum's themes, and building the flagship with an emphasis on sustainability and cutting-edge design.
Initiative 02
A virtual museum that connects collections
Our virtual museum will connect national museums globally, providing a digital experience open to anyone, anywhere.
We are partnering with leading technology companies to integrate virtual and augmented reality tools, establishing formal agreements with national and international museums for artifact digitization, and designing an interactive platform with immersive VR and AR exhibits, built to be accessible for all demographics.
Initiative 03
An academic program that inspires
We are developing an educational program that leverages technology to inspire students and deepen their engagement with history.
In collaboration with educators and school systems, we are creating interactive lesson plans built on the virtual museum's resources, piloting the program in select schools, partnering with education-focused organizations to expand its reach, and integrating augmented reality experiences directly into classrooms for hands-on learning.
Initiative 04
Real-time discovery with Treasure Experience
We collaborate with Treasure Experience to support the discovery and recovery of shipwreck artifacts, bringing real-time exploration to the public. See how a discovery happens on our Expeditions page.
A front-row seat to history
Live-streamed shipwreck recoveries let viewers witness the moment of discovery as it happens.
From seafloor to exhibit
Recovered artifacts are incorporated into museum exhibits and the virtual platform, with the stories behind each find.
The science of exploration
Educational programs showcase the science and technology of underwater exploration, from sonar to conservation.
Initiative 05
Fundraising & strategic partnerships
Sustaining this mission takes a robust framework: a donor program with recognition tiers and exclusive benefits such as early access to exhibits and live streams of recoveries, fundraising events from galas to artifact showcases, grants from cultural and educational foundations, and corporate sponsorships that let businesses align their brand with our vision.
Initiative 06
Engaging the world through history
New Discoveries will become the highway between museums, connecting humanity's shared history and making it accessible to everyone: partnerships with cultural institutions worldwide, forums that promote collaboration among museums and historians, and outreach programs that inspire communities to take part in preserving history.
